*You must be located in Edmonton and able to do in-home tutoring*

Stellar Scholar is looking to hire someone who can tutor in any and all subjects, from PreK up to university for 1-12 hours per week, in English Second Language. You must be able to tutor at least English and one other subject for all age levels. Bonus if you can tutor more subjects.

This position will be for all ESL students but primarily Ukrainian refugees, so if you speak Ukrainian that is perfect.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree required, should be relevant to teaching or chosen subjects ideally

Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector dated within the last six months

A willingness to communicate with clients to schedule appointments, send them reminders, and check in with them regularly

A passion for education, tutoring, and helping others succeed

You should also be flexible with your approaches; some clients may want to work on assignments, others may want you to create a lesson plan,



and others still may just want to practice out of a workbook or something similar. You should be creative and willing to try new approaches to suit clients.

Looking for someone who is flexible, friendly, and reliable. You need to be a people person.

You must have at least one year of tutoring experience.

Wage per hour is $25-29/hour depending on level of experience, and is paid weekly.

2 qualified references will be required if you are selected for an interview.
