Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (millwright) to join our team. This is a part-time employment position. There may be more work available to the right candidate. The ideal applicant would be a person working rotation looking to pick up additional work on days off, or somebody already working part time or odd shifts and looking for extra work. Must have weekday availability! Candidates with weekend only availability will not be considered. Availability to work a Sunday morning shift from time-to-time is an asset. Ideal candidate will have expertise in maintaining and repairing industrial machinery. Ideal candidate will be confident enough in their abilities to visit a new site on their own to troubleshoot machinery. Quality of workmanship is an utmost priority. Additional skills in welding, fabricating, and electrical systems is an asset. Dual ticketed Journeymen who are effective, available, and dependable are considered top tier. Must have the ability to analyze and troubleshoot various mechanical issues.

Responsibilities:





- Maintain and repair machines and mechanical systems on a client to client basis.

- Troubleshoot, inspect, and adjust machine components and systems.

- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialty tools to complete repairs and maintenance.

- Troubleshoot and repair/replace basic electrical controls.

- Read and work from drawings, diagrams, and manuals to determine work procedures.

- Perform failure analysis to identify root causes and determine corrective actions and repairs.

- Complete and submit all work related paperwork in a timely manner.

- Perform work safely and professionally at all times.

Qualifications:

- Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification with minimum 5 years experience.

- Strong mechanical skillset and understanding of machine components.

- Proven troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.

- Familiarity with electrical components, PLC's, and CNC machines an asset.

- Ability to read and interpret drawings and diagrams.

- Welding experience is an asset.

- Dual tickets are an asset.

- Must be willing to support other trades if required.

- Must have own basic tools.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $43.00-$45.00 per hour
