Super Crunch Tanghulu is seeking Sales Associates to sell our candy fruit (Tanghulu) at our brand current Edmonton store location in West Edmonton Mall, opening at the end of August. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the sales industry, develop teamwork and entrepreneurial skills, as well as take on necessary duties while working in a fast-paced environment.
We aim to bring the vibrant and timeless tradition of candied fruit to modern palates, creating a delightful and colourful experience right in front of our customers. Inspired by the age-old Chinese street food, our Tanghulu offerings provide a unique blend of traditional flavours and contemporary customization. Each delicious stick is meticulously skewered and dipped into a shimmering glaze of sweet syrup, creating a tantalizing treat. The vibrant display of fruits and the sparkling glaze at our kiosk create a visual feast, perfectly capturing the joy and excitement of traditional Asian culture. With Tanghulu, each skewer is not just a snack but an experience, bursting with colour and flavour.

Job Responsibilities (Sales Associate):
- Prepare and serve tanghulu in accordance with food safety standards.
- Process cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment.
- Restock products, supplies, and packaging as needed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and promote a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain product knowledge and visually appealing merchandise presentation.
- Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively.
- Complete opening, closing, and other assigned duties as required and depending on shift.
Job Responsibilities (Store Manager):
- Lead, train,
and supervise staff while providing ongoing coaching to foster a positive team culture.
- Conduct performance reviews and when necessary, conduct disciplinary actions.
- Work on the floor and demonstrate good team work and collaboration.
- Plan and organize daily operations, including staff scheduling and onsite evaluations.
- Monitor revenues and control labour and product costs to support profitability.
- Establish sales goals while motivating and inspiring the team to maintain sales goals.
- Manage inventory, product costs, and maintain supplier relationships.
- Balance cash, complete weekly reports, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards and legislations.
- Provide good customer experience, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
- Maintain consistent and proactive communication with senior leadership to ensure alignment with company goals, policies, and operational standards.
Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, & lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, opening and closing shifts is preferred.
- Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Basic math skills, including retail math.
- Ability to speak English is required.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Ability to assume a variety of scheduled shifts including closing shifts and weekends as required.
- Store Manager - 2+ years of experience in food service, and/or restaurant management.
Qualifications:
- Open, approachable, and outgoing attitude when interacting with customers and co-workers.
- Excellent customer service and strong will to assist customer needs.
- Previous customer service or food experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team-based environment.
- Reliable, adaptable, and motivated to learn new skills.
- Students studying a degree in business or other related subjects is an asset.

Pay:
Sales Associate: $15.00 - $17.00 / hour (depending on experience)
Store Manager: $20.00 - $25.00 / hour (depending on experience)
Job Types: Part time (20 - 30 hours), Full Time (35 - 45 hours)
Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
