Sales & More (2 Positions)
Position 1: Digital Marketing & Creative Lead / Position 2: Wholesale Growth, Events & Analytics Lead
About Us
We are a fashion trading company with a retail store and wholesale operation, proudly serving our community in Kitsilano for over 13 years. We specialize in well-crafted fashion and thoughtful goods — mainly from Japan and Canada, with some from Europe — each carefully selected with attention to quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability.
We are a small but dynamic team, and we genuinely enjoy what we do.
As one of our long-time team members is returning to Japan, we are welcoming two new members. Training begins in mid-August, with handover completed by mid-September.
Each role is flexible: your days (3–4 per week) and areas of focus will be shaped around your availability and what you genuinely enjoy. What matters isn't being good at everything — it's feeling excited to try, and having a style that resonates with ours.
How We Work
Our store is the heart of everything we do. Customer service always comes first — when the store is quiet, we each work on our own tasks, sometimes taking focused time in the back. We are 5 of us and the store usually runs with two people.
Once a week, we gather as a team to review how things are going, look ahead, and freely exchange ideas — everyone's voice matters here.
We're open 11–6, seven days a week, with holidays around Christmas and New Year. From time to time we pop up at local markets — and sometimes we close the store and go on a little outing together as a team.
What You Might Do
In the store — shared by everyone
- Warm, attentive customer service and lasting customer relationships
- Receiving shipments, PO entry, and product registration (Lightspeed)
- Restocking, replenishment, and stockroom organization
- Daily operations: opening/closing, cash handling, cleaning, and beautiful presentation
- Emails, customer inquiries (email, Instagram, voice messages), and review replies
- Preparing online orders for shipping
- Small daily upkeep: store supplies, price signs, store info updates
- Wholesale operations support: order preparation, invoicing, follow-ups
Each of you will take the lead in one of these areas:
Position 1: Digital Marketing & Creative Lead
- Model our clothing and photograph the looks yourself for our online store and social media
- Plan, shoot, and schedule Instagram/Facebook content: styling shoots, product photography, daily Stories, and Reels (filming and editing)
- Photo editing and uploading products to our online store
- Research trends and browse fellow shops and brands on Instagram for inspiration and new brand discoveries
- Manage our Shopify store: collections, seasonal imagery, discounts, and SEO
- Schedule and create ads (WBSJ), including ad video editing
- Track online traffic sources and insights
- Create graphics with Canva for Mailchimp, social media, in-store signs, and event POPs
For this role: an eye for photography, styling, and visual storytelling is essential, along with being comfortable modeling and photographing yourself independently.
Position 2: Wholesale Growth, Events & Analytics Lead
- Help grow our wholesale business: nurturing retailer relationships, planned ordering, and finding new opportunities
- Create wholesale sales materials (line sheets, lookbooks)
- Planning and running events, pop-ups, and workshops
- Seasonal campaigns and VIP customer invitations
- Sales reporting, targets, and analysis to help guide the store
For this role: a knack for numbers and the creativity and drive to bring events to life — strengths our team would especially welcome right now.
As a small team on a rotating schedule, we cover for each other when someone is away — flexibility to jump in wherever needed is truly appreciated. At the same time, everyone has their own core areas to take the lead on and carry forward.
