Mattress Production Worker – Full-Time

Overview

Sleepwell Bedding is looking for a reliable and hardworking full-time Production Worker to join our mattress manufacturing team in Winnipeg.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced position where duties may change depending on daily production needs. The ideal candidate is flexible, cooperative, willing to learn, and comfortable helping wherever needed within the factory.

Previous manufacturing experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

- Build and assemble mattresses and mattress components
- Learn and assist with sewing, quilting and cutting fabric/panels
- Measure and prepare materials for production
- Operate production equipment safely after proper training
- Package and move finished mattresses and materials
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks
- Assist with deliveries and pickups when required
- Operate a forklift after proper training and obtain forklift certification/licence if required
- Keep production and work areas clean and organized
- Move between different duties depending on production demands
- Follow workplace safety procedures and instructions
- Perform other general factory duties as required

What We’re Looking For





- Reliable, punctual and able to work full-time
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Flexible and willing to switch between different tasks as needed
- Cooperative and able to work well with a small team
- Willing to learn sewing, quilting, cutting and mattress production
- Physically capable of lifting and handling mattresses and production materials
- Willing to assist with loading, unloading, pickups and deliveries when required
- Willing to obtain forklift certification/licence
- Able to follow instructions and changing production priorities
- Previous manufacturing, sewing, quilting, warehouse or forklift experience is an asset but not required

Please note: This is a flexible production position and is not limited to one specific task. Team members are expected to assist in different areas of production and general factory operations based on daily workload.

Job Type: Full time

Work Location: In person – Winnipeg, MB

Pay: $16.02-$25.71 per hour
