Location: Headingley, MB
Pay Rate: $16.50/hr + vacation pay
Assignment Length: 6 weeks

This position will assist in daily operations at the plant and warehouse, managing tasks from seed treatment to packaging by seed count. The position involves operating both manual and automated equipment, tracking inventory, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Primary Responsibilities

- Participate in daily seed count, bagging, and treating operation within the plant.
- Operate and manage automatic seed sampling equipment to pull accurate samples from seed lots as instructed.
- Assist with seed counts for packaging and obtaining QA samples.
- Enter plant monitoring data for treating and packaging areas.
- Monitor packaging appearance (printing on bags/placards, bar coding, wrapping, etc.).
- Monitor the treatment process for accuracy.
- Perform general repairs on bag placers, baggers, treaters, and palletizers during both the season and shutdown periods.
- Participate in cleanup activities during variety changes.




- Assist management with sorting and inventory counts on carryover inventory.
- Assist with the carryover blending process by seed count.
- Assist in all inventory counts of chemicals and bags.
- Meet safety requirements for all seed count, bagging, and treatment areas.
- Perform other related duties as directed by management.

Required Skills/Competencies

- Experience or aptitude for equipment repairs.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Capable of stacking and handling up to 50 lb bags as needed.
- Mechanical aptitude and communication skills.
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to the BASF office, as transportation is not provided.
- Schedule: Work schedules may change or be canceled due to adverse weather conditions. Please ensure candidates are aware of these potential changes.
