Position: Food Truck Cook/Cashier

Taco Revolution is a well known Vancouver Island food truck and event catering brand. We are seeking a few cooks and cashiers to join our team full time at our new location opening in Downtown Victoria. This position is ideal for someone with cooking and customer service experience, but experience is not required so long as you are a quick learner with a positive attitude.

Working on a food truck is different from most kitchens, as front house and back house are combined, and you interact directly with customers. This can be very rewarding, but also means that this position is best suited for someone who will appreciate direct customer interaction and feedback. You are basically a cook and a server all-in-one. If this sounds like you, then read-on!

You have:

- A bit of experience in a commercial kitchen environment, but we are willing to train if you have the passion and desire
- Some customer service experience
- A Food Safe level 1 certification

You are:

- Capable of taking direction, praise, and constructive criticism from customers and management
- Keenly able to identify and prioritize details that matter
- Passionate and enthusiastic about food and creating a positive customer experience
- Friendly with customers




- Someone who thrives in a fast paced environment (can remain calm, cool, and collected during a rush)
- Able to occasionally lift/carry moderate loads (up to 22kg)
- Comfortable working in a small kitchen

You will need to:

- Take food orders from customers using a modern POS system
- Quickly assemble customer orders
- Be able to multitask on multiple customer orders simultaneously
- Ensure the consistency, quality and accuracy of each order
- Monitor ingredient levels at your station
- Call out customer names and bring food orders to customers
- Respond to customers questions
- Sanitize and clean work surfaces and dishes during and after service
- Perform various other kitchen-related tasks as needed

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
