We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Mechanical Designer! This new team member will work closely with our customers, project managers and fabrication team to draft and design mechanical systems, piping, structural supports and fixtures for manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will support the overall business objectives and contribute to our success as well as have excellent organizational, critical thinking and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop precise 2D and 3D models and technical drawings for a wide range of customers and industries.
- Conduct site visits to gather measurements, meet with customers and revise drawings accordingly.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, industry standards and customer requirements.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines with ongoing updates and modifications.
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails and virtual meetings.
- Source, prepare and procure materials for implementation of designs.

Educational Requirements and Qualifications

- A degree and/or advanced diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related discipline.
- Software proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoDesk Suite, DraftSight and Office 365.
- Valid driver's licence.

Bonus Skills and Qualifications

- Background in agricultural, industrial and/or food processing.
- Experience producing fabrication, assembly and installation drawings.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
