- Friday: 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler I for a full-time opportunity in Mississauga. This role involves the assembly, mounting, and basic wiring of electrical and mechanical components following standard layouts and customer specifications.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build or further develop their skills in mechanical and electrical assembly within a structured manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and mount electrical, mechanical, and sub-assembly components onto panels, enclosures, and structures following standard layouts
- Perform basic wiring of electrical products using customer drawings and schematics
- Assist with wiring of non-standard options under the guidance of a senior Electrical Assembler
- Perform continuity checks (e.g., buzzing out) to verify functionality
- Complete production checklists and required documentation
- Assemble enclosures and related structural components
- Deliver completed sub-assemblies to production areas
- Support inventory control in the sub-assembly area (cycle counts, material handling,
etc.)
- Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing standards
Requirements
- High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions, drawings, and schematics
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with basic wiring or schematic symbols
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience
- Exposure to sub-assembly or production environments
