About Lateral Completions

Lateral Completions is a manufacturer of dissolvable frac plugs and downhole completion tools serving the oil and gas industry. Our Okotoks facility handles machining, assembly, quality control, inventory, and shipping of our products.

We are looking for a hands-on QA/QC & Assembly Supervisor to join our Operations team.

This is a working supervisor position suited to someone who is comfortable being actively involved on the shop floor while overseeing assembly and quality activities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager and play an important role in maintaining product quality, supporting production, managing documentation and traceability, and helping keep day-to-day operations running efficiently.

As the role develops, there will also be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities in inventory, purchasing, and material coordination.

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise and support a small assembly team.

· Work closely with the Operations Manager to establish and execute daily production priorities.

· Ensure assembly procedures, work instructions, drawings, and quality requirements are followed.

· Participate directly in assembly activities as required to support production.

· Perform and support QA/QC inspections on components and finished products.

· Complete and maintain quality records, inspection reports, traceability documentation, and other required QA/QC paperwork.

· Identify and document non-conformances and other quality issues and assist with corrective actions.

· Support compliance with company quality procedures and our API Q1 / ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

· Assist with incoming material and component inspections.

· Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and inventory control.





· Coordinate with machining, assembly, shipping, and management to keep production moving efficiently.

· Ensure completed products are properly inspected, documented, identified, and ready for shipment.

· Assist with troubleshooting assembly, production, and quality issues.

· Support supplier and material coordination as required.

· Take on additional purchasing and material-ordering responsibilities as the role develops.

· Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient shop and QA work environment.

· Promote a culture of quality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For

· Previous experience in manufacturing, machining, oil and gas, or a similar industrial environment.

· Experience with QA/QC processes, inspections, and documentation.

· Comfortable working in a hands-on shop environment and participating directly in day-to-day operations.

· Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.

· Experience using common inspection and measurement tools, including calipers and micrometers.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to supervise, support, and work closely with a small production team.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

· Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· Experience with inventory management or ERP systems is an asset.

· Experience with API Q1, ISO 9001, downhole tools,



or frac plug manufacturing is an asset.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and understands that quality is an important part of every stage of manufacturing.

The ideal candidate is practical, organized, mechanically inclined, and detail-oriented. You should be comfortable balancing supervisory responsibilities with hands-on assembly and inspection work and be willing to identify problems, communicate them clearly, and work with the team to find practical solutions.

This position is particularly well suited to someone who enjoys working in a smaller manufacturing environment where their contribution has a direct impact on product quality, production efficiency, and day-to-day operations.

Working Conditions

· Full-time, in office position in Okotoks, Alberta.

· Combination of shop-floor, assembly, and QA/QC work.

· Standard 40-hour work week, with overtime as required.
