Operate a tri-drive texas bed winch tractor and 10’ wide scissor-neck trailer hauling heavy equipment, materials, and other cargo as needed. Primarily hauling in BC and occasionally in Alberta, both on and off-road.
Requirements:
· Must hold a valid class 1 license with air endorsement, with 3 to 5 years of skilled experience operating a winch truck (Texas bed is an asset). Knowledge of FMCSA regulations.
· First Aid, other certificates
· Provide current clean drivers abstract
· Pass pre-employment Drug and Alcohol testing & hearing test
· Physically fit & able to lift 100lbs, 50-70lbs regularly.
· Heavy equipment operating experience (is an asset)
· Attention to detail
Job Responsibilities:
- Comply with the company transportation compliance manual and all other policies and procedures
- Complete and record daily walk around inspections & pre-trip inspections
- Follow federal hours of service as required (use of ELD)
- Comprehensive knowledge of proper loading and unloading, cargo securement, weight distribution, permitting requirements.
- Operate in a safe, responsible manner to prevent injury, damage, or loss. (i.e.: proper planning and execution to ensure no unnecessary risk or liability)
- Complete care and maintenance of the tractor & trailer (cleaning, notification of repair, overall mechanical condition, and appearance)
- Perform labor tasks as required
- On-call schedule, willing to travel for extended periods out of town.
