Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our agile warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to perform tasks safely and effectively.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring accurate placement and organization of inventory.
- Perform order picking tasks, utilizing a warehouse management system to track inventory levels and fulfill customer orders.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Assist in heavy lifting and moving of materials as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution with a strong understanding of logistics operations.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts,
including clamp trucks and order pickers.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems to streamline operations.
