Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Student Engagement and Program Development Coordinator to energize our educational initiatives and foster meaningful connections with students. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and promotion of innovative programs that inspire student participation and enhance their learning experiences. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will drive engagement, ensuring students feel supported, motivated, and empowered to succeed. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on student communities while developing your leadership and program management skills.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and support new students and families.
- Respond to general inquiries and assist with registration, class placement and program information.
- Monitor attendance, participation and student retention.
- Follow up with families regarding attendance, scheduling or participation concerns.
- Gather feedback from students, parents and instructors.
- Help develop and evaluate classes, camps, workshops and community programs.
- Coordinate student leadership, mentorship and engagement initiatives.
- Prepare family resources,
orientation materials and program communications.
- Assist with outreach events and partnerships with schools and community organizations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
- Track enrolment, trial participation, withdrawals and program outcomes.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for studio leadership.
Qualifications
The ideal applicant will have:
- Experience working with children, youth and families.
- Strong communication, organization and customer-service skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in education, recreation, performing arts, youth programming, community development or administration.
- Strong computer and record-keeping skills.
- A commitment to inclusion, accessibility and creating a welcoming setting.
- The ability to handle sensitive information professionally and confidentially.
Experience with program planning, event coordination, social media, registration software or community outreach would be considered an asset.
Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
