We are looking for a Full-time Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Bear Country Property Management. We are open to seasonal and permanent applicants for this position.
The Maintenance department is responsible for ensuring the Hotel, Condos, and Equipment are maintained to a high standard while providing the best standard of service to our guests and owners. This is a hands-on leadership position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with managing the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department.
- Complete hands-on repairs and maintenance as required; Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Painting, Hot Tub Repairs, large scale building projects (Summer only)
- Assist the Maintenance Manager to coordinate the team, managing repairs and ongoing projects.
- Maintain regular cleaning of workshops, storage rooms and schedule inspections.
- With the support of the Maintenance Manager; supervise and support maintenance attendants, including training and performance.
- Assist with supply orders.
- Monitor department procedures and assist with ways to improve efficiency, service quality and guest satisfaction.
- Provide good communication with guests & owners.
- Handling hazardous chemicals.
- Snow and garbage removal (Winter only).
- Working with the other departments to communicate maintenance matters and ensure a seamless operation.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Trade qualifications or technical background in plumbing, electrical or mechanical maintenance would be an asset.
- Previous experience in pool, spa, facilities or property maintenance.
- Previous supervisory or management experience.
· Must be able to work at height - man-lift & roof access
· Strong knowledge of water chemistry (pool certificates are an asset but not required).
- Ability to commute/relocate: Sun Peaks, BC
- Comfortable working mostly outdoors in all weather & physically able to lift 25lbs*
- Strong problem solving & decision-making skills.
- Customer service skills
- Computer skills, specifically with Microsoft programs, monitoring and tracking software and hotel reservation software
- Strong Communication /interpersonal skills
- Language: English
- First Aid Certificate is an asset
- Valid BC Driver’s License
- Legal ability work in Canada without restrictions.
