We are currently recruiting for Personal Support Workers to assist a female employer with Post-polio Syndrome in all activities of daily living.

She is an active advocate for people with disabilities, and is friendly and flexible.

Location:

- Vancouver (Near Coal Harbour Park)

Shifts & Hours of Work:

- 24 hour shift 2-3 days per week
- Start time 8:30PM - 8:30PM the following day
- Specific days will be discussed with the employer

Compensation:

- $200 during training
- $300 regular

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

- Personal care such as, bathing, washroom care, and dressing assistance
- Transfers using a manual Hoyer lift
- Uses electric wheelchair and requires assistance with the washroom (no lifting required),
- Light housekeeping such as dusting, laundry and mopping floors
- Meal preparation/ baking under her direction
- 1 intervention in the night 10 minutes toileting, repositioning all on the bed may increase if sick
- Utilizes oxygen and BiPAP

Required Qualifications:

- Caregiving experience is an asset
- Physically fit required
- Experience with a Hoyer lift is an asset
- Must be fully vaccinated - 2 doses required




- Understanding person centered care required
