Established Residential Property Management Company (Vernon, BC)

We are seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician to independently maintain and repair residential apartment buildings in Vernon.

This is a full-time position for someone who is hands-on, reliable, organized, and able to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks throughout residential apartment buildings
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and other general maintenance issues
- Complete unit turnovers, including repairs, cleaning, and preparation for new tenants
- Maintain common areas, hallways, exterior areas, and building grounds
- Perform general cleaning duties when required, including heavily soiled vacant suites
- Complete seasonal outdoor work, property clean-up, and basic landscaping as needed
- Prioritize maintenance requests and keep maintenance task lists organized and up to date
- Communicate clearly with management regarding repairs, priorities, and project progress
- Coordinate with external contractors when required
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment





Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of building maintenance, property maintenance, or handyman experience preferred
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general repairs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Personal tools are an asset, but not required

Compensation

- $25.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience
- Full-time, permanent position
- Approximately 40 hours per week
