IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER FOR INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS: This is a clinical support and dental aide/assistant position. This role does not allow you to practice dentistry, perform diagnoses, or act as a dentist. It is a chair-side support and administrative role designed to provide Canadian clinical exposure and informal mentorship while you pursue your licensing goals.
About Us
Led by a dedicated specialist with significant international clinical and scientific experience, ADO Endodontic Clinic is a premier endodontic specialty clinic. Our main focus is to provide excellent patient care in a friendly, compassionate, and comforting environment for both adults and children. We operate a high-volume, state-of-the-art facility where professional excellence meets exceptional client care.
The Opportunity
Are you an internationally trained dentist currently navigating your path to Canadian licensure (NDEB/AFK/ACJ)? This position is designed as an elite stepping stone. At ADO Endodontic Clinic, you will not just be doing a job; you will be immersed in a high-caliber specialty environment.
This role offers an unparalleled chance to absorb Canadian clinical philosophies, observe advanced specialist workflows, and sharpen your dental acumen—giving you a distinct professional advantage during your equivalency journey. We invest in our team and look for analytical, high-achieving professionals who want to maintain a strong, active connection to their field.
Note: For the right candidate,
our office will arrange and facilitate enrollment in the required foundational coursework (DENT 1622 at Saskatchewan Polytechnic).
What You Will Do (As a Clinical Dental Aide)
- Specialist Chair-Side Collaboration: Directly assist our endodontists during high-level micro-endodontic treatments and complex apical surgeries, gaining exposure to advanced clinical case management.
- Real-Time Clinical Synthesis: Use your high typing speed (50–60 WPM) and dental knowledge to document complex consultations, synthesizing diagnostic information accurately in real-time.
- Aseptic Protocol Management: Oversee strict infection control protocols (ICP), managing the sterilization cycle, operatory preparation, and specialized clinical textile maintenance to hospital-grade standards.
- Team Support: Remain versatile enough to fill administrative or clinical support tasks to ensure smooth practice workflows.
Additional Duties (For Canadian-Licensed Dental Assistants Only)
- Advanced Imaging: Take high-quality radiographs and 3D CBCT scans for our clients (applicable only to applicants who hold a valid, registered Canadian Dental Assistant license).
What We Are Looking For
- Pre-Existing Dental Expertise: You must be an established dental professional with existing clinical knowledge and prior hands-on dental experience. This is not an entry-level position; you must already understand dental terminology, clinical workflows, and patient management.
- Scheduling Flexibility: Complete availability to work 10-hour shifts scheduled anywhere between 7:30 AM and 9:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
- Communication & Literacy: Exceptional,
fluent written and oral English communication skills are strictly mandatory for patient care and dictation.
- Fast Typing Speed: Ability to type 50–60 WPM accurately for live consultation notes.
- Tech-Savvy Professionals: High digital literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) alongside the ability to quickly master complex, practice-specific dental management software programs.
- Core Attributes: A friendly, positive, and mature team player with above-average problem-solving skills, good judgment, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge Base: Solid foundational knowledge of office procedures, patient care, sterilization, and WHMIS. [4, 5]
