We are currently looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join a busy warehouse team. This is a full time contract position until the end of October, with the potential for the assignment to be extended at the current warehouse or at another warehouse in the same area.
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 4 years of forklift experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. Candidates must be comfortable operating both an Electric Counterbalance Forklift and Order Picker in a rapid paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Electric Counterbalance Forklift and Order Picker safely and efficiently
- Load and unload trucks
- Pick and prepare orders accurately
- Stack and move heavy product
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Assist with warehouse projects as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all warehouse and equipment safety procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience required, with 3 to 4 years preferred
- Experience operating Electric Counterbalance Forklift and Order Picker
- Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Strong attention to detail and excellent accuracy
- Safety focused with good equipment operating practices
- Comfortable working in a fast paced warehouse environment
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable and able to consistently work the full Monday to Friday schedule
