Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Former to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for shaping and assembling concrete forms that serve as molds for pouring concrete structures. Your expertise will ensure the precision, safety, and quality of each project, contributing to the successful completion of commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team committed to building durable and innovative structures.

Duties

- Construct and assemble formwork using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to create accurate molds for concrete pouring
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine form specifications and placement
- Install rebar reinforcement within forms to provide structural support and ensure stability during concrete placement.
- Perform concrete finishing tasks including smoothing, leveling, caulking, and sealing to achieve desired surface quality
- Conduct restoration work on existing structures by replacing or repairing damaged forms or surfaces
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks effectively during renovation or new construction projects





Experience - Is an Asset but Not Required

- Proven construction experience with a focus on concrete forming or related trades such as masonry or carpentry
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment operation, and basic maintenance procedures
- Skilled in rebar installation, concrete finishing techniques, and masonry work
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with schematics for heavy equipment operation and formwork assembly
- Experience in renovation projects including restoration of existing concrete structures
- Knowledge of welding, flooring installation, caulking, and other related construction skills is a plus
- All Experience is an asset but not required for application; we here at JWK are willing to teach on-site and provide full training and skill development.
