Build. Fix. Troubleshoot. Keep Agriculture Moving.

Are you a Certified Millwright who likes working with your hands, solving mechanical problems, and seeing the results of your work?

At Embro Farm Systems Inc., no two days are exactly the same. Our Grain Division installs, services, and maintains mechanical grain systems for farms and agri-businesses across the region. You'll work on everything from conveyors and grain elevators to mixers, dryers, augers, gearboxes, and other heavy mechanical equipment.

If you enjoy variety, hands-on work, field service, welding, and figuring out how to make things work better, this could be the opportunity for you.

What You'll Do

Install & Build

- Install and assemble grain handling systems, including elevators, conveyors, bins, dryers, augers, and related equipment
- Install and align motors, gearboxes, pulleys, bearings, drive shafts, and other mechanical components
- Work both in our shop and on customer sites

Troubleshoot & Repair

- Diagnose mechanical problems and get equipment back up and running
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
- Troubleshoot breakdowns and identify practical, long-term solutions
- Help minimize downtime for our customers

Weld & Fabricate

- Perform MIG and stick welding
- Weld mixer liners and other high-wear components
- Fabricate, modify, and repair parts and equipment as required
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings

Work With Customers

- Travel to farms and agri-businesses to install, service, and repair equipment
- Communicate professionally with customers and explain work completed
- Represent Embro Farm Systems with professionalism and integrity

Work Safely

- Follow company safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements
- Properly use PPE, tools,

and equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Required:

- Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic – Millwright Certificate
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical/millwright experience
- Valid Class G driver's licence
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs

Strong Assets:

- Agricultural or grain handling experience
- MIG and stick welding experience
- Fabrication experience
- Experience with conveyors, augers, mixers, elevators, dryers, gearboxes, and other material-handling equipment

What Makes This Job Different?

You won't be doing the same thing every day.

You'll work on different equipment, in different locations, and solve different problems. One day might involve installing a grain system, another could involve repairing a conveyor or welding a mixer liner.

You'll have the opportunity to build, install, troubleshoot, weld, fabricate, and work directly with customers—using your full skill set rather than being limited to one area.

Why Join Embro Farm Systems?

- $30–$40/hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Full-time, year-round employment
- Extended health and dental benefits
- Life insurance
- RRSP matching
- Company events
- On-site parking
- Supportive, experienced team

- Variety of work and equipment
- Opportunities to expand your mechanical and agricultural expertise
- Work on equipment that directly supports the agricultural industry

The Reality of the Job

This is a hands-on, field-based position and is not a typical factory job. You'll spend significant time working on farms and customer sites, as well as in our shop. The work is physically demanding and involves climbing, lifting, working at heights, welding, operating tools and equipment, and working in dust, noise, heat, cold, and other outdoor conditions.

The work is varied and can change from day to day. You may be installing a grain system one day, troubleshooting a conveyor the next, and welding or repairing equipment after that.

There is occasional overtime and weekend work during busy periods, so flexibility is important.

If you're looking for a Millwright position where you can use your full skill set, work on different equipment, solve real mechanical problems, and aren't afraid of getting your hands dirty, we'd like to meet you.
