Sales Representative - Furniture & Interior Decor

Our client is looking for a Sales Representative / Interior Decorator to join their established furniture retail showroom located in the Orangeville, ON area. This opportunity is available on either a full-time or part-time basis and offers immediate start.

This role combines retail sales expertise with creative interior decorating, supporting customers both in-store and through in-home consultations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience while helping clients bring their design vision to life. Applicants must reside within a 30-minute commute of Orangeville.

Responsibilities

- Provide in-store and in-home design consultations for residential clients
- Assist customers with furniture selection, layout planning, and décor coordination
- Prepare scaled floor plans and room designs tailored to client needs
- Present product options including furniture, upholstery, fabrics, leathers, and décor accessories
- Drive sales through consultative selling and relationship building
- Maintain and merchandise the showroom to ensure an inspiring and visually appealing environment




- Collaborate with fellow decorators and administrative staff to support daily operations
- Develop strong product knowledge across multiple furniture lines and collections

Qualifications

- Experience in interior decorating, home staging, or residential design
- 3+ years of retail sales experience preferred
- Excellent eye for colour, texture, fabric, and spatial planning
- Knowledge of furniture construction, upholstery, and home décor products
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Availability to work weekends (one day required)
- Reliable daily commute within 30 minutes of Orangeville
- Interior Decorating or Staging certification considered an asset
