ABOUT THE ROLE

Forward Furniture is a Calgary furniture showroom looking for a reliable, flexible Warehouse & Delivery Associate to join our small team. You'll get furniture from our showroom into customers' homes and put together right, freeing up our sales team to focus on customers in-store.

Most of the work is solo: loading the truck, delivering furniture to customers around Calgary, and setting up items in their homes. There's real room to grow here — as you show reliability, there's an chance for steadier hours, and over time a path into more of the in-store sales side of the business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Deliver furniture to customers around Calgary using our company delivery vehicle

- Load, secure, and safely transport furniture (sofas, sectionals, beds, massage chairs, saunas, dining sets)

- Assemble furniture on-site at customer homes and in the showroom

- Communicate with customers about delivery windows in a friendly, professional way

- Help receive, organize, and stock inventory in the warehouse

- Follow safe lifting and driving practices at all times

WHAT YOU NEED

- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence (non-GDL), held for at least 3 years

- Clean driving record (a driver's abstract will be requested before hiring)





- Eligible to be added to the company's commercial auto insurance policy

- Able to lift 75+ lbs comfortably, often with a partner for larger pieces

- Fluent English required, spoken and written — this is a customer-facing role

- Reliable, and comfortable working independently with a flexible schedule

- Previous delivery, moving, or warehouse experience is an asset, not required

DETAILS

- Part-time with no guaranteed hours to start — your schedule depends on how busy the store is week to week (deliveries, assemblies, warehouse work) and on your reliability once you're on the team. Some weeks might be 10 hours, others closer to 40, and it will likely start out slower than that. Steadier, more consistent hours are earned as you prove you're dependable and ready for more responsibility. This isn't the right fit if you're expecting full-time hours right away

- $20.00/hour

- Keep 100% of any tips you receive from customers on deliveries

- Calgary SE location (6125 12 St SE)
