Barnes Harley-Davidson is currently seeking to expand our team with a Full-Time Parts Manager!

Job Summary:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Parts Manager is responsible for customer retention and profitability by hiring, training, measuring the performance of parts staff, and establishing customer-focused service standards.

- Strong knowledge of parts sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
- Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills

- Excellent listening skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Self-motivated with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
- Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures

- Must be forklift certified

The job:

- Maintain a high level of customer service, accuracy, and professionalism
- Review daily sales and profit margins to ensure budget projections are achieved
- Monitor freight recovery to ensure budget projections are achieved
- Review open sales orders to ensure aging is kept to a minimum
- Work with other parts staff to place daily parts orders required to meet customer demand
- Liaise with other departments within the company as needed to promote efficiency and teamwork
- Participate in parts inventory counts
- Participate in monthly department statement review
- Participate in annual budget composition
- Must be able to operate a forklift to move parts in and out of the warehouse and parts department
- Able to interact effectively in all situations and diffuse possible conflicts should they arise
- Verify receiving shipments, returns, and transfers
- Ensure parts areas are kept in a clean and professional organized fashion
- Ensure accuracy of parts quantities and pricing on service work orders if needed
- Ensure parts returns are fully utilized and completed on time
- Ensure shop parts orders are delivered on time and with accuracy

Wage: Salary, plus commission and bonuses
