Seeking experienced Landscapers/Gardeners/Turf Crew to join our small company and help bring it to the next level. Immediate employment available. We offer attractive wages to the right candidates. Team Lead and Team Member positions are available. Year round work available.

THE POSITION

Typically work in crews of 2-3; Weekly responsibilities include: lawn and yard maintenance (clean ups, mowing, trimming, power raking, aeration etc). Potential to assist with landscape projects depending on interest and skills (softscaping: sod, mulch, soil and plant installation). We also undertake small hardscaping projects (fences, patios, rockwork, raised beds etc). Potential for snow removal work in winter as well.

If hired as TEAM LEAD, you will have additional day to day responsibilities such as ensuring task lists are completed, driving vehicles, managing equipment, ensuring work quality, keeping records and supervising 1-2 other staff members as required.

Garden and landscaping company focused on quality customer service. Client base focused in central, NW and SW parts of the city, including both formal and informal gardens. We have a loyal customer base (including many high end clients) with specific focus on quality customer service. Preference for organic and natural approaches to landscape management (but not mandatory).

ABOUT YOU:

INTEREST: You must be interested and have experience in the landscaping and gardening trade with intention to continue and grow for two or more years. If you bring your own unique experience, or business initiatives to the company that is a further asset.

EXPERIENCE: Experience in any garden or landscape position is essential for a team leadership role. Additional experience related to plants, soils, food gardening, lawns, landscape construction, crew leadership, customer service, etc. also an asset.

RESPONSIBLE:



Must be able to work independently and with others; take responsibility for managing task lists and work quality; personable and skilled at customer service.

INITIATIVE: Preference for candidates that show initiative to complete tasks well and efficiently. Dedicated employees that demonstrate the desire to grow in the industry and expand our business will do well with our company.

ADDITIONAL ASSETS: (helpful but not required):

* Your own truck or other vehicle, garden tools or equipment (helpful, not required)

* Experience, training or certificates in landscape-related skills (not required)

* Team leadership, business or advertising experience (not required)

* Supervision, landscape design (not required)

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
