We are looking for a Customer Technical Support Specialist to join our team and provide front-line support to our clients.
Position: Customer Technical Support Specialist
Location: Abbotsford, Onsite or Hybrid depending on candidate.
Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide phone, email, and ticket-based technical support to customers using FreewayPTT and FleetTracker.ca devices and platforms.
- Troubleshoot device, application, and connectivity issues (Android devices, SIMs, data connectivity, GPS, web portals, etc.).
- Assist customers with account setup, device provisioning, configuration, and basic training.
- Walk clients through step-by-step solutions in a clear, professional, and patient manner.
- Document all support interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing/CRM system.
- Escalate complex technical issues to GM, following internal procedures.
- Monitor and follow up on open tickets to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback to management and development teams about recurring issues, feature requests, and product improvements.
- Contribute to internal and customer-facing knowledge base articles and FAQs.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in technical support, helpdesk, or customer service in a technology/telecom environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with hardware and software (Android devices, apps, and web portals).
- Comfortable working with networking basics (Wi‑Fi, cellular data, APN settings, IP basics).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong customer service mindset: patient, clear, and solution-focused.
- Ability to manage multiple tickets and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with common office and support tools (e.g., CRM/ticketing systems, MS Office/Google Workspace).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with PTToC solutions, two-way radio systems, or VoIP services.
- Experience with GPS tracking / telematics platforms (e.g., FleetTracker.ca or similar).
- Bilingual (English/French) or other languages an asset.
- Basic understanding of APIs, mobile device management (MDM), or Linux-based systems.

Work Schedule
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Occasional on-call or after-hours support may be required, with appropriate compensation.
