NT Painting & Decoration Inc. is a Winnipeg-based construction company specializing in residential and commercial painting, drywall finishing, and restoration work.

We are looking for an experienced painter who can deliver clean, professional finishes, work safely on active job sites, and represent the company well when working with clients, supervisors, and other trades.

Position Overview:

This role is suited for a painter with strong residential and commercial experience who can complete interior and exterior painting work efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards. The successful candidate should be reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to contribute positively to a team setting.

Responsibilities

Duties may include:

- Preparing surfaces by sanding, scraping, patching, caulking, filling, and masking
- Applying paint, stain, varnish, and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Completing interior and exterior painting on residential and commercial projects
- Painting walls, ceilings, doors, trim, baseboards, railings, decks, fences, and other surfaces
- Protecting furniture, flooring, fixtures, and surrounding areas before beginning work
- Reading work orders, project instructions, drawings, or specifications as required
- Coordinating with drywall finishers, supervisors, and other trades to keep projects on schedule
- Identifying surface issues and completing touch-ups or minor repairs where needed
- Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout each project
- Communicating professionally with clients, supervisors, coworkers, and other trades
- Following company safety procedures and industry best practices

Requirements

Applicants must have:

- Minimum 3 years of professional painting experience
- Residential and/or commercial painting experience




- Strong knowledge of surface preparation and finishing techniques
- Experience using brushes, rollers, airless sprayers, and other painting equipment
- Ability to produce clean, high-quality finishes with attention to detail
- Valid authorization to work in Canada. Applicants must already be legally authorized to work in Canada before applying.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Basic hand tools required for professional painting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely on ladders and scaffolding
- Good communication and time management skills

Additional Experience Considered an Asset

Experience in any of the following areas would be considered an asset:

- Drywall repairs or finishing
- Restoration work
- Spray finishing
- Wallpaper installation or removal
- Minor repairs, patching, or renovation-related finishing work
