Spend your fall outside, leading students through low ropes, games, and team challenges.

Green Acres Outdoor Education Centre is hiring 4 to 6 seasonal instructors for Fall 2026. If you are taking a gap year, studying education or recreation, or simply want real experience leading groups of young people, this is a robust fit.

You will spend your days outdoors with school groups in Grades 3 to 12, leading:

- Low ropes and hands on challenge elements
- Cooperative games that get a whole class working together
- Team building programs built around problem solving and communication

What we are looking for

Leaders. You will have a full class in front of you, so we want people who can hold a group's attention, keep the energy up, and stay calm when a plan needs to change. Previous experience with elementary or secondary students is an asset. Preference given to Teacher's College, Education, Kinesiology, Outdoor Recreation, or ECE students and graduates.

Position details

- Employment dates: September 4 to October 9, 2026, Monday to Friday, dependent on school bookings
- Paid training: Wednesday, September 2 and Tuesday, September 8, 10am to 2pm. Attendance is mandatory.
- Hours: Approximately 8:30am to 2:00pm. Full week availability preferred,



individual day availability will be considered.
- Pay: $20.00 per hour, including paid training
- Location: 11123 Kennedy Road, north Markham
- Transportation: You must be able to drive yourself or arrange a ride each day. There is no public transit to our location and no camp buses are available.
