ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on the design and development of electrical systems for custom automation and machinery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design and develop electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical or similar software
- Specify and select electrical components (e.g., sensors, drives, PLCs, HMI panels)
- Prepare panel layouts, bills of materials, and wiring diagrams
- Support panel assembly, wiring, and troubleshooting as needed
- Work closely with mechanical designers, controls engineers, and project managers
- Ensure designs meet safety and regulatory standards (e.g., CSA, UL)




- Provide technical support during build, testing, and commissioning phases

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in electrical design for machinery or automation
- Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software
- Knowledge of electrical standards and codes (CSA, NEC, UL)
- Familiarity with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
