New & Used Sales Manager – Automotive

Hillside Chevrolet is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced, energetic and results-driven New & Used Sales Manager to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an automotive sales leader who wants to make a real impact, build a strong sales team and help drive the continued growth of our dealership.

USED VEHICLE EXPERIENCE IS A HUGE ASSET

Strong experience in used vehicle operations, appraisals, inventory management and pricing is a major asset for this position.

We’re looking for someone who understands how to:

- Appraise and acquire quality used vehicles
- Price recent and used inventory competitively
- Manage inventory and aging units
- Maximize gross profit
- Structure and close deals
- Coach salespeople and improve performance
- Drive both new and used vehicle sales

What You'll Do

- Lead, coach and motivate the new and used sales team
- Structure and close new and used vehicle deals
- Monitor sales performance, gross profit and closing ratios
- Oversee new and used vehicle inventory, pricing and merchandising
- Assist with appraisals and trade evaluations
- Develop strategies to move aging inventory
- Train and develop salespeople
- Monitor daily, weekly and monthly sales KPIs
- Handle customer escalations and ensure an exceptional buying experience
- Recruit and help develop new sales team members
- Work closely with Finance, Service and Parts




- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase dealership performance
- Lead by example and create a positive, competitive sales culture

What We're Looking For

- Previous automotive sales management experience preferred
- Strong new and used vehicle experience
- Used vehicle appraisal and inventory experience is a major asset
- Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate a sales team
- Strong deal-structuring and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong understanding of gross profit and dealership KPIs
- Highly organized, driven and results-oriented
- Positive, competitive and team-focused attitude
- Valid driver's license
