A career as Senior Director, Technology Continuity and Disaster Recovery (DR) within the IT Operational Resilience team means providing leadership for the Bank’s technology continuity and disaster recovery program.

You play a strategic role in establishing the direction, standards, and governance mechanisms required to ensure the organization can restore its technology services following major disruptive events. You ensure that recovery strategies, recovery exercises, and technology continuity capabilities remain aligned with business needs, regulatory requirements, and the evolution of the Bank’s technology workplace.

Your Role

- Provide strategic leadership for technology continuity, disaster recovery, and IT supplier resilience, in alignment with the Bank’s operational resilience priorities.
- Define the vision, roadmap, and evolution priorities for the disaster recovery (DR) program to strengthen the Bank’s ability to restore critical services following major disruptive events.
- Establish the direction, standards, frameworks, and requirements needed to ensure a consistent, measurable, and integrated approach to technology continuity across the organization.
- Govern the technology recovery master plan and ensure its alignment with business needs, vital operations, designated services, regulatory requirements, and evolving technology architectures.
- Guide the strategy for certifying recovery capabilities and conducting recovery exercises, ensuring that results provide tangible evidence of the Bank’s ability to meet its resilience objectives.
- Assess organizational readiness, identify systemic gaps that could compromise the recovery of critical technology services, and recommend the required action plans.
- Act as a strategic partner to architecture, infrastructure, cloud, IT operations, cybersecurity, risk management, and business teams to embed resilience requirements into key decisions and initiatives.
- Develop indicators,



dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to monitor the technology continuity posture, support management decisions, and inform discussions with senior leadership.
- Orchestrate stakeholder engagement during major exercises, ensuring effective coordination among technology teams, business partners, and governance functions.
- Represent the function before governance bodies, risk management partners, and oversight authorities, positioning technology continuity matters as drivers of resilience, compliance, and protection of the Bank’s critical services.

Your Team

Within the IT Operational Resilience team, you lead a specialized team whose mandate is to develop, maintain, and enhance the disaster recovery and technology continuity capabilities required to protect the Bank’s critical services and vital operations.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field related to information technology, engineering, operations management, or risk management.
- Significant experience managing specialized teams in infrastructure, IT operations, technology continuity, or disaster recovery.
- In-depth knowledge of recovery strategies, high availability, technology continuity, and disaster recovery.
- Experience designing, governing, and executing large-scale disaster recovery programs.
- Knowledge of operational resilience and business continuity concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to influence managers and executives in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Experience implementing indicators, monitoring mechanisms, and governance structures.
- Excellent communication, engagement, and change management skills.




- Knowledge of the financial sector and regulatory requirements applicable to technology continuity is an asset.
