We are hiring Class 1 Drivers for City (Pick-up and Delivery) in Surrey. The individual is required to drive a combination of 5 tons and Single axle trucks.

- Shift premiums of $1.50 for shifts starting between 2PM and 6AM.
- $3.20 of employer pension contribution for every hour worked

What you will be doing:

- Drivers need to have 24 hours availability. Expected to work any shifts. Premiums will be paid
- Flexibility to drive various Class 1 vehicles and equipment, must be able to drive manual transmission
- Ensure secure loads, pick-up and deliver freight locally
- Have a natural customer service focus
- Maintain routine communication with dispatch/yard control
- Perform daily inspections and safety checks
- Work in a team-oriented, fast paced setting
- Other duties as assigned

What are we looking for:

- You have a Class 1 license, air brake endorsement,



and a clean driver’s abstract
- Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience, Local LTL P&D; preferred
- Familiarity with local area truck routes, industrial zones and dangerous goods routes is an asset
- Fluent in English
- This is a unionized position and shifts are determined on a seniority basis. All candidates must be available for any shift (24-hour operations)
- Candidates must have reliable means of transportation to get to work
- Candidates must pass a criminal background and drug test for illegal substance - company paid
