Position Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Operations Supervisor / Operations Manager

The Role

We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Class 5 Truck Operator to support our day-to-day operations. This position will primarily be responsible for pullouts, mini bin service, bin deliveries, and other duties as required.

The successful candidate will safely operate assigned company vehicles while providing dependable and professional service to customers and supporting the Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete scheduled pullouts, mini bin services, pickups, and deliveries.
- Deliver and pick up equipment, materials, bins, and other items as assigned.
- Safely operate company vehicles and equipment in accordance with company procedures.
- Follow assigned routes, schedules, and dispatch instructions.
- Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Secure loads and materials properly before transport.
- Maintain accurate work orders, driver logs, inspection forms, and other required documentation.
- Keep assigned vehicles and equipment clean and in positive working condition.
- Report vehicle defects, damage, delays, access issues, or safety concerns promptly.
- Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers and the public.
- Follow all company safety policies and applicable health and safety requirements.
- Assist with other driving, delivery, yard, or operational duties as required.

Qualifications

- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean commercial driver’s abstract.
- Previous commercial,



delivery, waste management, construction, or similar driving experience is preferred.
- Comfortable driving and working in different road, weather, and site conditions.
- Strong commitment to safe driving and safe work practices.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with vehicle inspections are considered an asset.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work varying schedules, including early mornings, overtime, or weekends when operationally required.

Experience:

- waste industry: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 with Airbrake endorsement (preferred)
