We are currently hiring a Journeyman Heavy Equipment/Truck Mechanic to support our growing fleet of heavy‑haul tractors, winch trucks, cranes, and specialized trailers.
Role Overview
As a Journeyman Mechanic, you will perform diagnostics, repairs, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance on a diverse fleet operating in demanding heavy‑haul environments. You will work in‑shop, supporting time‑critical operations and ensuring equipment is secure, compliant, and ready for cross‑border deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fleet diagnostics — Engines, driveline, electrical, hydraulic, DEF systems
- Heavy‑haul tractor repair — Western Star, Kenworth, Peterbilt platforms
- Crane & rigging equipment service — Hydraulics, PTO systems, winches
- Trailer maintenance — Jeeps, boosters, multi‑axle configurations, hydraulic steering
- Field service — On‑site repairs, breakdown response, cross‑border support
- Preventative maintenance — CVIP prep, safety inspections, compliance documentation
- Operational readiness — Ensuring units meet dispatch timelines and load requirements
Qualifications
- Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician or Journeyman Truck & Transport Mechanic
- 5+ years experience in heavy haul, oilfield, crane, or specialized transport
- Strong diagnostics capability (electrical, hydraulic, engine)
- Experience with Cummins, Detroit, CAT preferred
- Ability to work independently in high‑pressure operational environments
- Valid Class 1 considered an asset
- Must be able to support after‑hours and field service when required
- Must be able to pass pre/post drug and alcohol screening

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
