Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a team setting.

You will also learn to cover the kitchen to cover breaks and/or other short periods as required.

Responsibilities

- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing them with menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using a point-of-sale system.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Monitor tables for guest satisfaction, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Sanitize tables, utensils, and other dining areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders.




- Handle cashiering duties including processing payments accurately.
- Assist in food preparation when necessary, ensuring all safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
- Manage time effectively to ensure efficient service during peak hours.

Experience

- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required.
- Smart serve required. Safe food handler certificate preferred.
- Familiarity with basic math skills for handling transactions and managing bills.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques is an advantage.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with guests and team members alike.
