Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman/Woman Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in various welding techniques, mechanical knowledge, and blueprint reading will be essential to ensure high-quality results on diverse projects. Duties

- Perform GMAW, SMAW and GTAW welding to join metal parts according to detailed schematics and blueprints.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine welding specifications and assembly procedures.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape, cut, and assemble metal components.
- Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy materials using cranes or forklifts safely and accurately.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or assembly processes, ensuring precision and safety.
- Measure dimensions with calipers, tape measures, and other tools to verify accuracy against specifications.




- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards at all times.

Experience

- Proven experience as a Journeyman/Woman Welder with a strong background in manufacturing or construction environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, plasma cutting, and working with structural, piping and other materials.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings essential for accurate fabrication.
- Familiarity with rigging operations, crane handling, machining processes, and assembly techniques preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations.
- Experience operating forklifts and power tools safely within industrial settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining quality standards.
- 'B' pressure ticket an asset.

Pay: $39.00-$50.00 per hour
