Overview

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Mazak CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator and become a vital part of producing precision-engineered components. Duties

- Program Mazak CNC lathes using Mazatrol controls to produce complex parts according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
- Set up machines by installing tooling, calibrating equipment, and verifying machine parameters for optimal operation.
- Operate CNC lathe machines with precision, monitoring machining processes and making adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models created in SolidWorks or other CAD software, and technical specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to inspect parts during and after machining for dimensional accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.




- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of power tools, welding equipment when necessary, and forklift operation for material handling.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements and reducing waste through efficient machining practices.

Skills

- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments involving CNC programming and machining.
- Proficiency with Mazatrol control specific to Mazak CNC lathes.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret CAD models from CAD software for accurate part fabrication.
- Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools to ensure quality control.
- Familiarity with CNC milling machines, hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly processes.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances critical to machining operations.
