NOW HIRING – EXPERIENCED CLASS 1 TRUCK DRIVERS & OWNER-OPERATORS

Dagar Transport Ltd. is seeking experienced Class 1 Truck Drivers and Owner-Operators with Step Deck or RGN trailers to join our growing team based in Calgary, Alberta.

We specialize in transporting heavy equipment, oversize freight, and specialized loads throughout Canada and the United States, hauling up to 10–11 axle configurations.

Qualifications

Successful applicants should possess:

- Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Experience with Flat Deck, Step Deck, RGN, or Heavy Haul operations preferred
- Strong knowledge of tractor and trailer configurations
- Mechanical knowledge of tractors and trailers
- Experience with cross-border hauling and customs paperwork
- Understanding of loading and unloading heavy equipment
- Knowledge of National Safety Code (NSC), Hours of Service (HOS), and FMCSA regulations
- Experience using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and follow permits, routing instructions, and oversize load requirements
- Physically fit and able to perform securement and inspection duties





Responsibilities

- Load and unload heavy equipment on Step Deck and RGN trailers
- Transport oversize, overweight, and multi-axle loads safely throughout Canada and the USA
- Complete pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- Monitor and maintain the condition of assigned equipment
- Ensure all loads are properly secured and transported safely
- Comply with company safety policies and transportation regulations
