Position Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable, energetic, and hardworking Full-Time Automotive Lot Attendant to join our dealership team.
The Automotive Lot Attendant plays an important role in maintaining the organization, appearance, and overall operation of the dealership lot. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely moving vehicles, maintaining vehicle and lot presentation, assisting with vehicle preparation, and supporting the Sales and Service departments as required.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working with vehicles, takes pride in keeping things organized, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Safely move, park, and organize vehicles throughout the dealership property.
Maintain an organized and professional appearance of new and pre-owned vehicle inventory.
Ensure vehicles are properly positioned and displayed on the lot.
Assist with receiving and organizing incoming vehicle inventory.
Verify vehicles upon arrival and report any visible damage or concerns to management.
Keep vehicle inventory clean and presentable, including removing snow, ice, debris, and other seasonal buildup as required.
Ensure vehicles are fueled or charged and ready for customer appointments, demonstrations, and deliveries.
Assist Sales/Service Consultants with locating and retrieving vehicles for customers.
Prepare and stage vehicles for customer deliveries.
Assist with dealer trades, vehicle pickups, and vehicle drop-offs when required.
Transport vehicles between dealership locations or to outside vendors as directed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dealership lot, parking areas, and vehicle storage areas.
Monitor vehicle parking to ensure fire routes, customer parking, service areas,
and designated spaces remain accessible.
Assist with snow removal and other seasonal lot maintenance duties.
Work closely with the Sales, Service, Detail, and Management teams to support daily dealership operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous experience working in an automotive dealership or similar environment is considered an asset.
Must possess a valid Ontario G driver's licence and a clean driving record.
Must be comfortable driving and parking a variety of vehicles.
Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is considered an asset.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Dependable, punctual, and responsible.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Positive attitude and willingness to assist other departments when needed.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Professional and respectful when interacting with customers and coworkers.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend, reach, lift, and perform physical duties associated with vehicle and lot maintenance.
Must be comfortable working outdoors during winter conditions, including snow and cold temperatures.
