Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Asphalt and Concrete Labourer to join our construction team. In this role, you will support the preparation, placement, and finishing of asphalt and concrete for a variety of projects, including roads, sidewalks, driveways, and commercial surfaces. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Duties

- Prepare job sites by clearing debris, setting forms, and ensuring proper grading and compaction
- Assist with pouring, spreading, and leveling asphalt and concrete materials
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as compactors, screeds, jackhammers, and saws
- Finish surfaces using appropriate techniques, including smoothing, edging, and curing
- Follow project specifications, measurements, and blueprints as directed
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment




- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE
- Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to meet deadlines

Qualifications

- Proven experience in asphalt and/or concrete work
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with construction tools and machinery
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction plans is an asset
- Valid driver’s license may be required

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
