Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake & Asset Management)

- Incorporated Business Rate: $75-80 per hour.

- Full-time position offering 37.5 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Hybrid model with three on-site days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Responsibilities:

- Engineering & Architecture: Design and implement end-to-end solutions for data, cloud, and software engineering needs. Collaborate with technical leads to align engineering decisions with the organization's strategic vision. Build scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouse solutions.
- Data Marketplace & Integrations: Evaluate and implement system integrations that support data-as-a-product initiatives and enterprise data discovery capabilities.
- Platform Engineering: Partner with enterprise engineering teams to identify, evaluate, and deploy tools and technologies required to support current and future platform needs. Champion inner-sourcing practices to enable collaborative development across teams.
- DevOps & Governance: Establish and enhance DevOps practices to improve developer experience and accelerate time-to-market.



Promote and implement strong data governance, data quality, and reliability practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with analysts, business stakeholders, and product teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance data products that support business-critical use cases. Proactively monitor workflows, resolve bottlenecks, and troubleshoot data-related issues.

What you will need to succeed:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 7 to 8 years of experience in the asset management domain.
- 7+ years of experience working in data-driven organizations on large-scale, end-to-end data initiatives.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building data platforms, applications, and pipelines using cloud-native technologies, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Deep understanding of cloud data ecosystems, including Snowflake, Oracle, and Hadoop.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including warehouses, query optimization, and cost governance.
- Experience with data ingestion and flow management tools.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Scala, and SQL.




- Expertise with AWS services, including S3, EC2, EKS, Glue, SageMaker, Athena, and Redshift.
- Experience designing APIs and microservices.
- Robust communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to influence, lead change, and drive measurable outcomes.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is considered an asset.
