Northern Lights Estate Winery is the largest fruit winery in BC and is also the Northernmost. Along with the well-curated and diverse wine portfolio, Northern Lights offers numerous events and activities throughout the year at our numerous properties.

Prince George's only Sunflower Festival is located at Foreman Farms, a 15-minute drive from downtown PG. With over an acre of sunshiney blooms, late summer has never looked so good! Sunflower Festival offers photo stations and props, a playground and sandbox, numerous farm animals, lawn games and cut flowers, and a well-stocked concession with ice cream and fresh baked goods.

We are looking for Sunflower Festival employees with a passion for excellent customer service and a desire to work in the outdoors. Duties include farm animal care, concession duties, general tidying and cleaning, ticket taking, and alcoholic beverage service. These positions are from early August to Mid-September. Candidates interested in continuing their employment for our fall and winter seasons can apply at the end of term.

GENERAL INFORMATION
- Part- and full-time contract positions available (early August - early September)
- Opportunity to continue employment for Fall and Winter event festivals.

LIST OF DUTIES
- Farm animal care: feeding, watering, cleaning, and loving pets
- General site maintenance including trash pick up, tidying of pathways,



dusting, cleaning bathrooms, sanitizing picnic tables, etc
- Concession Service: following food safe practices to ensure safety and service excels. Processing transactions and fulfilling orders. Scooping ice cream, selling merchandise, stocking and selling baked goods.
- Front Gate Service: Providing information for guests walking into the festival (where things are located, how to see the farm animals, cafe offerings, cut flower supplies and procedures) and processing entry fees.
- Alcohol Service: Certain nights of the week only, providing wine and beer service to guests attending evening sessions for live music, yoga, art classes, etc

REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction.
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to wear many hats and go above and beyond
- Contentment to work in all weather conditions in a mainly outdoor environment
- Strong Food Safe skills
- Cash-handling
- Reliable transportation to and from site (not on a bus route - 15 minutes from downtown PG).
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: From $18.25 per hour
