Community Living North Bay is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fill the position of Fulltime Bilingual Direct Support Worker. This position requires collaborating closely with the application entity and reports to the Program Manager. The Bilingual Fulltime Direct Support Worker will be responsible for providing personalized support and assistance to individuals.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for providing personalized support and assistance to individuals, empowering them to achieve their personal goals, pursue their dreams, and make informed choices about their lives. This role is essential in ensuring that all activities align with and promote the vision, values, and mission of Community Living North Bay.

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THIS ROLE?

- Assist in the development of personal goals and achievement in the areas if work, intimate relationships, satisfaction with services and personal life
- Assist with the choices of people’s daily routine, privacy, information sharing and the use of their environments
- Maintains records in a professional, concise and accurate manner
- Responsible for the use, handling, and record keeping of funds
- Assist people with their finances and provide options, choices, and chances for personal growth in this area.
- Ensure people are aware of and can exercise their rights, and are treated fairly

ARE YOU THE RIGHT PERSON?

- You have a diploma in Mental Health and Addictions or Social Service Worker
- You have a valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle for on the job (with 2-million-dollar liability insurance)




- You have diverse and transferable skills
- You have experience in supporting adults who have a dual diagnosis who may be involved with the criminal justice system
- You maintain a high standard of privacy and confidentiality
- You believe in providing support that fosters life skills, advocacy, and safety and security; that meet the vision, values, and mission statement of CLNB
- You have a strong focus on crisis intervention and risk management
- You engage adults with cultural sensitivity, non-judgmental approach, and a trauma-informed care lens
- You are available for all shifts including, days, evenings and weekends.
- Bilingual French/English required.

COMPENSATION: $51,060.07 per annum, plus benefits and pension.

SCHEDULE: 10 hour rotating schedule.
