Part time Optical Assistant / Licensed OpticianJoin Our Modern Eye Care Team in Markham!

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and motivated Part-Time Optical Assistant or Licensed Optician to join our growing optometry clinic. If you enjoy working with people, are detail-oriented, and have a passion for eye care, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

- Welcome patients and provide exceptional customer service
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Answer phone calls and emails professionally
- Assist with insurance claims and billing
- Assist patients with frame selection and basic lens education
- Take optical measurements for eyewear (experience preferred)
- Maintain accurate patient records using our electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Support the daily operation of the clinic and optical dispensary

Qualifications

- Previous experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, or optical clinic is preferred
- Licensed Optician is an asset, but experienced Optical Assistants are encouraged to apply
- Fluent in English (required)




- Ability to speak Mandarin and/or Cantonese required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Friendly, reliable, and able to work independently

Schedule

- Part-time
- Alternating Saturdays are required
- Flexible weekday schedule available
