Join Our Team – Lab Technician

We're looking for a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our optical team! In this role, you'll play an essential part in ensuring our patients receive high-quality eyewear by preparing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining glasses with precision and care.

Working closely with our optometrists, opticians, and clinic staff, you'll help deliver an exceptional patient experience by supporting the day-to-day operations of our optical lab.

What You'll Do

- Inspect, assemble, and prepare eyewear to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Perform frame adjustments, minor repairs, and maintenance on eyeglasses.
- Verify prescriptions, lens specifications, and frame alignment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with eyewear before dispensing.
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure a clean, organized workspace.
- Manage inventory of lenses, frames, and lab supplies.
- Collaborate with the clinic team to ensure timely completion of patient orders.
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service when assisting patients with repairs or adjustments.
- Follow all clinic policies and health and safety procedures.





Qualifications

We're looking for someone who:

- Has experience working in an optical lab, manufacturing, or a precision-based technical environment (optical experience is an asset).
- Has solid attention to detail and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
- Is comfortable using hand tools and specialized lab equipment.
- Can manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Has excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
- Has strong communication and customer service skills.
- Is reliable, dependable, and committed to delivering exceptional result

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

- Secondary School (preferred)

Location:

- Fort McMurray, AB T9H 4G8 (preferred)
