A leading, vertically integrated manufacturer of polyurethane foam and fiber-based products, serving industries from furniture to healthcare to sustainable flooring, is hiring a Production Supervisor for their North York facility (afternoon shift, 3-11pm).

The team here is experienced. What they need isn't someone standing over them — it's a supervisor who removes obstacles, keeps things running, and continuously makes the operation better. That means the person we're looking for is as much about leadership style as technical know-how: an empathetic, humble leader with excellent communication skills, who can guide a strong team without micromanaging them.

What you'll be doing:
✔ Leading shift operations for a team of 13-16, ensuring schedules run safely and on time
✔ Monitoring KPIs — output, efficiency, scrap, and downtime — and acting fast when the numbers slip
✔ Implementing and driving CI and QC programs that actually reduce scrap and waste, not just look good on paper
✔ Acting as the first point of contact for production issues and working with maintenance to minimize downtime
✔ Supporting new process implementation, line setups, and changeovers
✔ Coaching and supporting operators to maintain performance and accountability





What you bring:

- At least 5 years in a manufacturing environment — foam or similar process-driven industry preferred
- At least 3 years in a Lead Hand, Production Lead, or Production Supervisor role
- Real experience implementing CI and QC programs (lean manufacturing, waste reduction, process optimization)
- Comfort working with production data, reporting, and ERP/MES systems
- The kind of leadership that earns trust from an experienced team — not commands it
