Father Lacombe Care Society

Calgary

In 1910, four Sisters of Providence traveled from Montreal to Midnapore, Alberta, to open a home for the elderly and fulfill a calling Father Lacombe had in his heart. With very few resources but strong community support, the Sisters provided compassionate care to those in need. Long before public health care, their dedication and faith built a legacy that continues today.

Over a century later, Father Lacombe Care Society remains the longest serving continuing care provider in Calgary. Located in south Calgary near Fish Creek Park and St. Mary’s University, we offer Long-Term Care and Supportive Living for seniors. Our Care Centres are known for their welcoming, small community feel, with beautiful natural surroundings and easy access to walking paths and public transit.

Our work is guided by five core values: Excellence, Sacredness of Life, Compassion, Spirituality, and Justice. While rooted in Catholic tradition, we respect and welcome people of all beliefs. If you are an experienced Executive Assistant who takes pride in getting the details right and is motivated by work that makes a difference, this is an opportunity to be part of this legacy.
