Estimator / Project manager

We are seeking an Estimator/Project manager with proven experience in all aspects of commercial & industrial construction

Estimator Construction Job Responsibilities:

- Preparing construction budgets; retrieving information from sub-contractors, identifying and projecting costs into phases or areas, in a time sensitive environment
- Obtaining bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price
- Works with Project Managers, Supervisors, and Accountants to accomplish goals.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Work with management to improve project efficiencies
- Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, and subtrades on estimate changes, distribute CO’s, and assign PO’s
- Coordinate meetings with Customers, Sales Staff, and Project Superintendents




- Prepare discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work

Requirements

- Excellent organizational skills
- Proven experience as estimator or similar position
- Familiarity with financial and project management principles
- In depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas
- Provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs etc.)
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings
- Ability to use scheduling software for preliminary and advanced project scheduling.
- Valid class 5 driver licence

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
