HR Advisor

- Pay Rate: $68.00–$83.00/hour, depending on experience
- Contract Length: 1 year
- Location: Calgary, Alberta

Raise is currently hiring an HR Advisor on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique chance to work with an industry leader. Our Client, the third largest producer of Canadian oil and natural gas and the second largest refiner and upgrader with extensive midstream and downstream infrastructure.

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The HR Advisor will provide business-facing HR operational support to assigned client groups while contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes and services. This role requires strong judgment and the ability to interpret and apply HR policies, systems, and procedures to resolve complex issues and recommend effective solutions.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted HR partner, working closely with leaders, employees, and internal HR teams to support effective service delivery, operational efficiency, and a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities

HR Advisory & Business Support

- Serve as the HR Advisory representative for assigned client groups.
- Provide guidance on complex HR operational matters, policies, procedures, and systems.
- Provide accurate and timely HR advice to leaders, employees, and internal HR partners.
- Support the development and maintenance of HR policies, process documentation,



templates, FAQs, and reference guides.

HR Operations & Systems

- Manage Tier 2 HR cases through established case management systems.
- Utilize HR systems such as Workday, SAP, and ServiceNow to support employee lifecycle activities.
- Maintain accurate, secure, and up-to-date employee data.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy legislation, internal security standards, and HR best practices.

Process Improvement

- Identify process gaps, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Recommend practical solutions to improve HR efficiency and service delivery.
- Participate in small-scale HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate across HR functions to enhance processes and the overall employee experience.

Qualifications

- 2+ years of progressive HR operations experience in a business-facing role.
- Oil and gas experience is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Commerce, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPHR designation or working toward CPHR designation is an asset.
- Experience working in an HR shared services environment is preferred.




- Comfortable working with HR systems and technology.
- Experience with SAP, Workday, and ServiceNow is preferred.
- Strong judgment, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and escalate complex issues appropriately.
