Quality Control Manager – Oilfield Construction

- Blackfalds, Alberta (Local candidates only — within ~45 minutes)

- Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (Occasional weekends)

- In-person | Shop-based with field visits across Alberta

We’re looking for a Quality Control Manager to join our team and support a wide range of oilfield construction activities, including facility builds, underground pipelines, and shop fabrication. If you’re organized, proactive, and experienced in QC leadership within the oilfield sector, this role offers a strong long-term opportunity.

What You’ll Do

- Lead and perform regular QC inspections for piping and structural fabrication
- Maintain and verify qualification records and QC program documentation
- Support data book turnovers and review turnover binders with the QC Team
- Ensure compliance with ASME, ABSA, API, CSA, and client-specific standards
- Work closely with welding operations and monitor QC activities in shop and field
- Learn and apply client regulatory requirements and project QC needs
- Provide general QC support across all shop and field operations

What You Bring





- CWB Level 2 with 2+ years QC management experience in oilfield construction
- Current visual acuity record
- Strong shop and field experience
- Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Clear communication skills and a proactive, organized work style
- Solid understanding of QC procedures, tools, and inspection equipment
- H2S, First Aid, CSO (minimum)
- Ability to pass D&A; pre-access testing
- W47.1 or W59 endorsements are an asset
- Robust knowledge of ASME, ABSA, API, CSA codes
- Experience with Acorn Pipe
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license + acceptable abstract
- Must be local to Blackfalds (within ~45 minutes — non-local applications will not be considered)
