At Chubby's Jamaican Kitchen, we bring a taste of Jamaica to Toronto by providing authentic Jamaican Cuisine with modern twists in a warm and trendy environment. We want to stay true to our inspiration by providing the best jerk chicken and jerk pork this city has ever experienced.

At Chubby's, the line cooks are the pillars of our kitchen. We look to our line cooks to take on a position of seniority and leadership amongst their co-workers, leading by example and being an ambassador of Chubby's. A line cook must possess a strong knowledge of our menu and recipes. This is a stepping stone role before moving into the position of Jr. Sous Chef.

The Scope of the Role and Responsibilities are as follows:

- Promotes Guest Satisfaction by ensuring all food is executed to standard
- Maintaining a spotlessly clean kitchen and back of house
- Adhering to all food handling and health & safety procedures
- Operate from Yes, and execute tasks as delegated by Kitchen Managers
- Contributing to an atmosphere of hard work, discipline, respectful communication,



cooperation and positivity amongst all staff

Skills / Experience

- Demonstrates a high level of self-discipline in work habits and work quality
- Strong knife skills
- Good knowledge of cooking techniques and food equipment operation
- Ability to work as a team and independently
- Time management and ability to multitask
- Thorough understanding of safe food handling
- Minimum of three years prior experience in a line cook role
- Positive attitude and respectful demeanor
